OT donating computing time ...

There have been mentions here of research projects that use home computers
. Since we now seem to have a couple of comps that see little use (wife's is
idle most of the time , server ain't usin' anywhere near it's capacity most
of the time - both new boxes with dual core processors) and a seasonably
fast connection , I've been thinking maybe the time has come to donate some
processor time ...
I looked into SETI@home and a couple other BOINC projects , but haven't
found "the" project .
Anybody got a fave they wanna share , like maybe cancer research for kids
or something like that ?
Give Shirley your drink order whilst pondering .

Hey....shoot me that recipe, please. I know you told me all about it
when I was there, but I'm old and forgetful.

Thank you so much, in advance. I LOVED your homemade stuff!

A nice cuppa coffee for me thankyousir...

There's a "Harley Netscum" SETI team that Andrzej set up a while ago that is
still active. I use BOINC and support SETI as well as a climatological
project.

Maybe he will chime in here and share some info ... I'm really leaning
towards supporting life sciences . Seems there's a lot of protein research
using distributed computing . I've looked around a bit , just haven't found
the one that rings my chimes - yet .
