No, not at all. I rode down yesterday on the Duck. Damn, I love that
bike. Perfectly comfortable running down Rt. 40 at 85-90 for as long as
I wanted. Smooth, quick, and comfy. Got to Leesburg about 12:30 and
spent the day wandering around in my Velocette t-shirt. Didn't see
anybody I knew and the only guy who stopped and asked me about the
Velocette t-shirt was a guy who had owned one and wanted to talk about
his Velocette.
Had a fine time. I liked Leesburg way better than most of the Daytona
meets I've been to except that there's no quasi-official r.m.h meet.
I'm gonna post a Leesburg thoughts thing in awhile.
In short, I thought Leesburg Bike Fest was huge fun, the locals were
cool, the cops were laid back and didn't interfere in meaningless
fun-killing ways like they do in Daytona, but there weren't as many
interesting bikes as I thought there would be.
Got some gnu ink, bought a hat, ate, drank, ogled, wandered around, got
sweaty, came home.
Came home last night, got in about 11:30 or so.
