If you don't want to do it, just say so

If you don't want to do it, just say so

Did you ever get the impression that someone simply doesn't want to take on
the job, for whatever reason? I stopped in at a place near work that
advertises that they do marine and motorcycle seat upholstry, so I though
I'd stop in to see if they could make a cover for my $150 Tour Tank. Now I
appreciate that there is a fair amount of work involved, but when she priced
it up and told me it would be $460 I thanked her for her time and left. I
assume that this is something that she just simply didn't want to do. That
AH in Georgia is probably thinking that I really don't appriciate the effort
actually involved. <g>

Well, I got some bids for plumbing a bathroom upstairs inna Hog-Den.
This is all new construction, easy to access and install th' shit. I
already had th' copper pipe n' fittings. This feller comes by and
takes a look at th' job and quotes me $4,000 fucking dollars! I axed
him if he was insane and he sezzed, nope, but I find a few ho moaners
that are insane enough to pay that much when I don't really want to do
th' work.

Gotta be honest with you here. Any job I don't want to do I and can't get
the customer to take no for an answer I bid high.
