why not a new Hummer?

why not a new Hummer?

gas is moving toward 5 bucks a gallon and still v-twin motorcycle sales
are soft. everywhere i go i have started seeing folks on scooters, in smart
cars and hybrids. harley had the technology to get ~100 mpg 60 years ago.
why don't they dust it off, tweak it and give us a cool little putt to
commute on?
i am not going to ride a vespa on a dare and both of my old hummers are
torn down for restoration. i would buy a couple of *new* hummers in a
heartbeat if the moco would build them. i ain't about to buy a new bagger
but a 100 mpg h-d would turn the yuppies into lightweight lovers fer sher.
michael

p.s. speaking of yuppies... did ya'll know that tom bought a trailer and
pulled his beemers to texas?

It kept Danny from getting shitfaced early in the day on Saturday.<seg> I
guess one needs to stay semi sober when wrenching on a bike 500 miles from
home. We did drink enough for him, while keeping a watchful eye on what he
was doing. As a matter of fact, I think there might be a photo on my camera
of how hard he was working.

yea what BS him working, ya know I was 38 miles from him with
transportation for him and he turned it down, only for me to drive 3
hours back to get him the next morning then 3 hours BACK AGAIN to my
house, only to trailer him 2 hours back then to fl!

Like I told my wife, "ain't no such thing as too many guns, motorcycles or
tattoos". Quotes because someone in here said it but I can't remember who.
