That was the whole idea. Just like your favorite pair of jeans (denim,
get it?) the finish was supposed to wear in. You're supposed to ride 'em
people, not obsess about cleanin' 'em!

Well, if it was me, I think I'd use soap and a small, soft brush using
circular motions, rubbing longer instead of harder until the mark
comes off.

Hmmmm... you might have something there. From what I understand,
happiness runs in a circular motion.

Paint little white ragged lines around it & make it look like real worn
denim..............

I really don't think there is. When I was looking at it the guys in
shop said once its's marred it's done. Their suggestion was don't
even rub it hard if you wash it. Damn. Rewrote that twice and it
still sounds dirty.

Once you realize that the finish will be different afterward (probably
shiny), it just becomes a matter of removing the black without removing
the paint. And that is a matter of what made the scuff, which I'm
thinking was probably a boot or something similar. And if she was riding
with her legs wrapped around ya, and her heals were bouncing on the tank,
ya just might want to leave it as a souvenier.

Not sure about denim paint, but sometimes a pencil eraser can work
wonders without doing damage to a surface.

Oh, thank Dog! I haven't washed mine since 2005, so I guess I shouldn't
feel too bad about it now, huh? LOL

Used to call Levi's like that *originals*. That'd be a pair of pants
ya never, ever, washed. Black was th' color of choice fer obvious
reasons. When they could stand up on their own, you were offishully
there.

So you're saying that when my bike can stand up on its own, I'm

You've gotta be gettin' real close. Keep up th' good work!

Gotta tell ya that a good sturdy pair of originals really helped to
keep ya standin' after th' alcohol overload kicked in. Where do ya
