Add in that fast flowing tracks like Assen often produce close racing.

The most amazing stat for me was that, with 5 laps to go, the top 10
were covered by 2 seconds!

Now that *is* odd. Obviously Biaggi and Checa have shown the same
thing. Perhaps the depth of field in MGP is not as good, so after
making an average start, you don't get beaten up so much. But more
likely, I think SBs are easier to overtake on - the lack of carbon
disks means longer braking distances.
