Fontana AMA, maybe it was the wind -- Semi spoilers

I'm not going to name names.

With fabulous heat hitting in to the 90's, and 30+ mph gusty winds
menacing the track both Saturday and Sunday, as well as causing a few
delays, I think I can safely say that this was one of the best AMA
weekends we've had, anywhere, in a very long time.

The quick run down:

SB1 on Saturday was fairly typical, with a pretty good battle going for
3rd and 4th. The finish was typical, but it was still a good race.

FX was decided at the line. The Duhamel/Zemke battle in the final at
Road Atlanta a few years ago was better, but this was pretty damn close.

SB2, on Sunday, was decided at the line. If you walked out when the 3
Suzukis grabbed the top three, you missed a hell of a race. ;-)

SStock, after a 1st lap red flag, was decided 2 turns before the finish
on the last lap.

SSport, again after a 1st lap red flag, was decided at the line.

And, not having seen any of the broadcasts, I can't vouch for the health
of Greg White, the announcer for Speed TV. After Barber, I can easily
see paramedics having to be called for most of the races to defibulate
G-Dub if he was as excitable here as he was at Barber. "CLEAR!
*ker-thunk*" "Oh, wow, did I lose time again? Who won?"

Even with the wind, and the crappy venue layout (they really kind of
screwed it up this year), it was a really spectacular weekend.

Regards,

Will Hartung

I missed the races on TV and won't be able to watch them on my DVR for
another 3 weeks! Anyone know of a youtube video showing the end of
race 2??
