:Landscape camera

has anyone ever used the horseman 2x3 cameras for landscape work? i was
considering either a pentax 534, or 67 system, but see that these systems
are in the same ball park, cost-wise.

i would--of course--love the movements available, and being able to use some
lenses i already own, but have never used one, so i am looking for any
experienced owner's stories.

I used to use a 2x3 Speed Graphic for much landscape work. The tilt is
all you really need to do near-far shots with the foreground also in
focus.

There are lots of them around (also the crown graphic without the back
shutter) and they are fairly cheap. There are a wide variety of roll
holders around as well in 6x6, 6x7 and 6x9 sizes. The small size of
the lens board might limit what you can mount, but a #1 shutter will
fit.

Perhaps you can find a dealer that will rent you one with an option
to buy so you can try it out. If you get a matching lens for the
rangefinder you can even handhold without much problems in good light.
