I wish that some of the profits from this venture would actually support
the Jamacian bobsled and skeleton athletes. They are a great bunch of
young adults, trying to compete in sports that definitely cost money.
And, it is nice that the operators of the ride do some kind of "tribute"
to the members of past teams from the 80's and 90's, the original "Cool
Runnings" guys - Dudley Stokes and his crew. But, they should also
honor Winston Watts and his crew, who competed in the 2002 Olympic
Winter Games and just missed qualifying for the 2006 OWG,and the women's
bobsled crew from 2000-2002. And, they should have a picture of the
real coach of the original team - I know him and he looks NOTHING like
John Candy :-) I know the team has run out of money several times. It's
hard to compete when you don't know if you will be able to get to the
next race...
