Recommendation sought for a horizontal camera stand...

Hi All,

I'm interested in taking some pictures with my camera facing downwards -
Imagine a table full of sports equipment that would be photographed
from directly above. I would welcome any recommendations on any
tripods/stands that might be available.

Thanks!

Re: Recommendation sought for a horizontal camera stand...

Polaroid MP-4 (and not just because I own one) can shoot 4x5
and Polaroid or with the right adapter (not just because I
have one, also) you can mount any type of camera.

Any big copy stand, like a Bencher or a Bogen Technal TC-1.

Really big tripod if you can place your composition between
the legs.

There are any number of DIY options that also come to mind
but with the falling prices for really top line gear I see
no point in making your own. I got my copy stand for free
by offering to haul some other odds and ends to the dump.

Manfrotto 190PRO but it might be more than enough for the job.
