HP xb31 no red colours?

HP xb31 no red colours?

This is probably a bit O/T but it is probably a gathering place for the sort
of people who might know the answer to my little problem.

I have an HP xb31 Projector which worked fine for a while but now shows red
items as black. It stopped showing red for no apparent reason and then, a
while later, it worked fine again but now it has stopped working correctly
altogether.

I am not sure if it is me being ham-fisted or if it is a fault. I may have
scrambled the settings but I have tried to do a re-set on every possible
combination.

I have set the 'Image Optimisation' as low as possible, as recommended to
give lower light but better colours. All to no avail.

I have tried it on several computers, Laptop, Notebook and Desktop. No
difference.

The worst thing about it is trying to get an answer out of HP. They have no
e-mail address for 'Projector' support and I have sent a barrage of messages
to other likely address, including their UK Head Office. I tried a post on
their hardware support user group but no replies.

I can only surmise that they have sufficient customers and don't want to
sell any thing else.

Anybody got any ideas?
