Rash Phari Trek in the Karakoram (Rash Phari means sparkling Lake). It
is one of the most recommended treks for those who want to have a
first time trekking experience with a life long excitement.
This is a beautiful short trek to Rush Lake at 4694 m with the ascent
of Rush Peak (5200 m). The trek starts in Hoper (2790 m) and climbs up
to Rush Peak at 5200 m where it is possible to see K2 and Broad Peak.
The scenery is spectacular with all the giant peaks of Hunza visible.
Across the Hispar valley there is a wall of four peaks from 7025 to
7885 m high. In addition there are great views of Rakaposhi, Ultar
and Spantik. On the return to Hoper we cross to the western side of
the Barpu glacier. No other short trek offers such magnificent
mountain scenery.



This trek is for those who have a taste of easy trekking and soft
adventure in the beautiful regions of the earth. Rush Lake Trek in

people as old as 75 years.
We walk on glaciers, through villages to a look at the real life of
those living at foot steps of mighty glaciers, along the irrigated
terraced fields with the impressive view of the mighty Karakoram
Mountains from summit of Rush Peak (5098 Meters). It is the junction
of two famous glaciers of Barpu and Bualter. It is interesting that
local legends talk about the gender of these glaciers of being male
and female and also about their meeting and birth of the new glaciers.




Rush Lake is a high altitude lake located near Rush Pari Peak (5,098
m). At over 4,694 meters, Rush is one of the highest alpine lakes in
Pakistan. It is located about 15 km north of Miar Peak and Spantik
(Golden Peak) (which are in the Nagar valley). Rush Lake and Rush Peak
can be reached via Nagar and Hopar and via the Hopar Glacier (Bualtar
Glacier) and Miar Glacier, (which rises from the Miar and Phuparash)
peaks. The trek to Rush Lake provides spectacular views of Miar Peak,
Phuparash Peak and Ultar Sar

ITINERARY:
Day - 1: Arrival Islamabad and transfer to Hotel.
Day - 2: Drive to Chillas in coach and visit 5000 years old rock
inscriptions.
Day - 3: Drive to Hunza and do Chinese stuff shopping in Gilgit.
Day- 4: Drive to Hopper by Jeep.
Day - 5 To Day - 11: Trek through Bualtar and Barpu Glaciers, flowers
strewn ablation, valleys and. High allitude grazing grounds to Rush
Lake a superb mountain view of surrounding peaks of Karakoram. (Max
Alt 13,776 feet)

Day - 12: Drive to Hunza. Over night in Hotel
Day - 13: Visit Khunjerab Pass. The highest paved border in the world
between Pakistan and China.
Day - 14: Drive to Besham over night in Hotel.
Day - 15: Drive to Islamabad.
Day - 16: Departure / to Delhi via Lahore.
