rome airport Ciampino

I was hoping to get some information on this airport (Ciampino). I
need to take a flight out of Rome - and it has to be from here. Can
anyone please tell me how far it is from the train station area?
About how much can I expect to pay in a taxi? And just out of
curiousity - same questions for the main Rome airport -- just to
compare. Thanks!

There's a train from Termini rail station (the Frascati train) to
Ciampino FS railway station, then a shuttle bus to the airport. You
can also take the underground to Agananina, where another bus connects
to Ciampino. Having done both, I'd recommend the train/shuttle
variant. It's also a pretty run.

There's more information here, including taxi fares:

The taxi rates have been fixed for a couple(?) of years now;
Rome to CIA is €35
Rome to FCO €40.

I and many others over on the Fodors' Forum have used this limo company
www .romeshuttlelimousine,com /Inglese p.htm
Their rate is €35 to either airport and they are the lowest priced of
all the limo companies. Regards, Walter

I've used them too, and second your recommendation.
