OT - I have a brand new toy!
OT - I have a brand new toy!
Some friends and family have gotten the full impact of it in the last
few hours, and I must say they are VERY patient. By now, however,
they should be used to me and my toys.
I stopped at Office Depot today and bought a CanoScan LiDE 90
scanner. For months now I've been wanting a simple scanner for my
slides and photos. Every other place I went to, like Wal*Mart and
Target, only sold the printer/copier/fax/scanner units. I already own
all of that except for the scanner and wasn't about to spend hundreds
of dollars for more than I need.
This scanner costing under $80 does a great job on my photos, even the
ones of me as a baby. My slides of astronomical art by Morris Scott
Dollens come out okay even after collecting dust for decades. I
should be kept busy for days scanning all the photos I've saved over
the years in an old suitcase. Now if I could only figure out who all
those people in really old photos are!
