I guess I'm out of the loop with the lingo. What's an M&A?

Is it a way of saying you're looking for someone who has clients that you
can piggyback on? Glomming on as we like to say?

I believe it stands for mergers and acquisitions. In other words,
you're correct. <g>

Ah, well eff em then. Are companies still desparate enough to sell to these
people? I'd rather here about an offshore company that is building from the
ground up on their own and working on making it a quality service. Oh well,
as ELO sings "hold on tight to your dreams."

The company I used to work for did and now she is one of their "sales
reps". Funny thing is that she didn't disclose to her current accounts
that she sold to an offshore entity, just that she sold her company but
would still be their "contact" for one year.

Funny thing is, Jeannie, even with a "trusted" contact for a year, much of
the work sucks major you know what. Her clients will figure it out
eventually unless she stays on to cover their arses. I won't forget "our"
experience anytime soon!

Oh...her clients are figuring it out and are calling me. I have the sister
clinic and I hear all about how awful it is. She never was an editor.
Just said to omit the sentence if there was a blank. She also didn't care
about quality as long as the work got in. I had someone working for me for
a VERY short while who worked with her. She told her, and me, just to
insert the normal PE and scan through it to try to catch any differences
but to HURRY and not to worry about it b/c the doctor's wouldn't remember
what they dictated anyway. I axed the girl the minute she told me what she
did and THREW A FIT because I dared complain and not the doctor and she
couldn't figure out why it mattered.

And she's still in business? How do they get away with it. Reminds me of
Julie's sig line - if you're gonna pay for crap....

Well, not exactly. She sold her business to an offshore entity but didn't
reveal it to her clients specifically, just said that she would be handling
their accounts for a year to make the transition go smoothly.

Oh, crap - answered wrong question -guess I should've read what I wrote
first! LOL

Yes, she was in business for a very long time. I got really mad when I was
told to "leave it out if I couldn't understand it and it was negative" and
quit after I was told to leave out the entire sentence if there were a
blank in it because she didn't want her clients to think her subs couldn't
figure things out. She wanted you to just plug in normals to speed things
along, etc. As far as I know, she never, ever even looked at a document
and compared it to what was actually dictated.

LOL. Not a word I hear a lot, Gisele, but after seeing it here other
day, I saw it in print somewhere - forget where.
