okey dokey

"patient is on Flonase for his prostate"

I know what drug he meant, but for the rest of the day I'm going to be
picturing someone spraying Flonase up their butt.

Considering I've had docs dictate suppositories as p.o., hey, why not?

LOL. Lucky it's not a verbatim account!

I couldn't do that kind of work.

Well, I could do it, but only until I had a stroke, which probably would not
take long.

Had a stroke or committed murder... Of course if you could truly get a
jury of MT peers, you'd be let off as justifiable homicide for self
defense.

The following is a true story, I kid you not.

When I was a Navy Corpsman stationed at MCAS, Yuma, Az., I prescribed some
Phenergan suppositories to a patient who was having nausea post surgery.

He came back to follow-up the next day and I asked him if the suppositories
had helped.

He said that he felt better but that the suppositories were really causing a
lot of pain. I couldn't figure out why they would cause him pain until I
realized that he had not removed them from the foil wrapper before use.

That hurts just thinking about it.
