"MT Space" - kind of a MySpace for MTs

Admittedly as somewhat of a lark (and because there's free webware and
web space out there making it easy to do), I set up a MySpace-like
site for MTs ... http :// mtspace.crowdvine,com /

If interested, feel free to check it out and add yourself ... or not
<shrug>. At this point it's just a handful of folks from one of my
mailing lists, but, who knows ... it might prove useful at some point.

It's bare-bones, really, especially at this point, but I'm hoping to
add more functionality as the provider rolls it out and as I find
time.

Ultimately, the goal is to make it easier to network with those from
the same geographical area, or company, or school, or specialty, etc.

Great idea, Chuck! It's nice to see pictures of the people you interact
with.

I hope it makes itself useful at some point.

One thing I've always wanted to do is to have a transcription platform
display the pictures of the dictators ... I can hear the shrieking
now, LOL, but wait! ... :-)

I've always found it a bit harder to get a good "hate" on for a
particularly challenging dictator if I see their face instead of just
imaging some grotesque image matching their hideous dictation skills
(or lack thereof). When I have an image (mental or otherwise) of the
dictator, it's easier to think of them as a human being instead of
just a disembodied tormentor ... well, a *little* easier.

But, I haven't the programming or scripting skills to do so, even for
my own use, let alone for other others' ... but I still think it would
be a cool thing. YMMV.

What was his specialty? If he did breast reconstructive surgery, his
practice slogan could've been "Spanks for the mammaries."

GROAN - Spanks for the mammaries. LOL. Still, that is totally
unnecessary and it is hard to imagine an intelligent, educated person
not grasping that

I had one doctor with horrible dictation skills. I found her picture
online and printed it out and turned it into a dart board. Very
cathartic.

No kidding, I almost did type it in and listen to it but needless to say the
listening to the tape stopped immediately.

Re: "MT Space" - kind of a MySpace for MTs

Hey there. I used to be a regular here...years ago. Finally found my way
back and it's great to see some familiar names still here. I recently put
up a myspace, too...pretty much like you, just for fun, but mine is for my
music. I had a lot of MTs asking to hear my songs (i've had a CD out for
years now) so I put mine up. Mine is listed under my email add..
jodyc21@aol,com

I'll go ck yours out. Some sites are set up to NOT allow "bands." I'm not
really a "band," but I DO have some of my songs on it. And YOU are one of
the names I recognize. In fact, a few years ago we got yapping about you on
the KAMT list, and you came back and said HI for a day or two.

How has everybody been? Maybe I'll know...once I ck out your myspace!!!

Jody

I can't seem to find it, Jody. Can you post or e-mail me the link?
