Word 2007 Question

Reply from: RaeMorrill

My MTSO sent this out to everyone. Does anyone know what the issue here
is? Doesn't affect me, but figured I'd pass it along if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Does anyone here use Word 2007? If you do and have your templates
installed correctly so that when you save your document it is SAVED AS A
WORD DOCUMENT but created AS A WORD TEMPLATE. It is my understanding
that you must also save the document somewhat differently so that we
here can access your work using a LOWER VERSION OF WORD.

If this makes sense to you, please email me. We need some
clarification. Thanks.

You save documents the same way, but you can save 2007 down to 97-2003
by default or by changing the Save as Type to Word 97-2003 Document
(*.doc).

Your MTSO can also install the free Compatibility Pack from the MS site
and be able to read 2007 documents saved in the new format (.docx).

Thanks again, Cheryl. I'll pass that on.
