Not necessarily. They could have been thinking about the increase in
efficiency for an mediocre to average typist, not an MT.

I can't understand why they didn't make a compatible word processing
format with Word or Wp WIndow. What about rich text format? I don't know
that much about it, but I also didn't write a program!

Re: Easy to earn in Medical Transcription

When I find some time I am going to try dictation direction into Dragon,
rather than WP or Word, and see if it will transfer from there, and I have
wondered about the "rich text" though not even sure what it is. Just lately
I don't have time to play with it.

Dragon is a really excellent program if you take the time to train it
well--but it does take time and training to get it to work really well. Why
they ever invented an EMR that didn't use WP or Word I cannot answer, except
that they probably would have had to pay for a license to use it. Knowing
my client, he was probably looking for price, though I know this program was
not cheap. I also know there are EMRs that will use any word processor. I
use WP11 for all my work except his, and if they want it in Word, as most
do, I simply save it in Word. Nobody has complained yet.
