Goal Motivation and Tips for Young Dentists
Hi Friends,
Its a relief for me to get back to work and quite a hectic activity.
Its good news for everyone here that I will be back to regular routine
in Miami.My extended trip to India have thought me how globalized
Dentistry/Medicine. Business Communication is just developing in
Dentistry and Medicine. Surgical Microscope An Indian microscope
manufacturer failed to do business because of bad business
communication.The Dental Industry deals directly with the Dentist and
Patients are Indirect Consumers and in India the Dental Industry still
do not know to do business with corporate organizations. India is
getting globalized and I need to stress that the relation between a
dentist and patient is more a relation between a health care provider
and a consumer. In a globalized world, a consumer is a king and the
dentist must treat them as so and the increased age of
competitiveness. Forget local Patients referring International
Patients to Developing Country=92 Dentists is a big pain as they are
painstakingly busy . it s logic that if they cant give them to a CEO I
can expect how difficult it will be for me to refer International
Dental Offices forget Questionable Standards.And interestingly =93Being
Busy=94 is a statement which I hear quite often India. Culturally Being
Busy in India is a way of saying that the dentist is sought after but
in a globalized world, it is a sign of Inefficiency and Bad
Management.
If a dentist keeps on telling patients that they are busy it is time
to introspect themselves and manage time well.Even it might be that a
dentist is busy,calling back is good manners and a show of how much a
dentist cares about the Caller. Calling back someone who has called
and responding to Emails are minimum etiquette which every person must
follow. Dr.Sanjay Singh of Sahaj Dental who is an exception and if
anyone wants to do Dental Tourism they must learn Basic Corporate
Etiquette
Talking to Young Dentists who would wish to be my clients I felt quite
surprised that young dentists who pass out do not know what to do and
are quite confused. Before I can even help them its really is
appalling that most of them do not have an idea of what a goal is in
life.A Goal is an important aspect of life and the difference between
successful and unsuccessful people is the existence of a strong
passion towards a goal.In all these tips =91you=92 refers to the Young
International Dentist.
1. Sit over,Think what you would like to do in your life and form a
goal. Goal is something which would do in life and an end to what ever
you want to do.
2. Plan for a time frame for your goal. The Number of years you would
like to spend to reach your goal.
3. Plan how much you have to earn to reach your goal and plan a time
frame for that.
4. Get your focus on towards the main goals and plan time bound
objectives for reaching your goal. Eg;If you would like to do DDS in
US and the first immediate goal could be clearing up TOEFL and GRE.
5. Take Advice from your Seniors,Parents but keep one factor clear
that you have to form goals for yourselves but cant let someone take a
decision for you.Eg :Don=92t try planning to go to US if your parents
want to go.You must have an enthusiasm in yourself.
6.Young Dentists are fodder for Dental Practicioners. Never Sell
yourself.If you are worth something demand it and get it.
7. When you plan a goal or something ,think whether you can make up
the money you are spending.
Eg :I want to join MDS.I am spending $50,000.Can I make it or I am
going to US I have to spend $150,000.Can I make that thing?If you cant
make a decision you can always ask friends of you who are already
taken your decision.
8. Never expect anything to be free.The best things in World are not
free. Try to always spend less to get more.Eg:Always think that if you
are spending $100,your returns should be $1000.But its always that
people want to get free and they lose opportunities.
9.Try to be more smart than scholarly. Nobody is interested how much
you have scored in your dental school.Everybody is interested how much
useful you are to them.Write your resume in such a way as what you
offer to your employer; not how great you are
10. Never worry about the present.Does your dental school exploit you
by paying you nothing during your internship.You may not get
worried.Just look into the mirror,see your future and plan for it and
the present bad days are not forever.
11. Mr X has gone to UK,Mr Y has gone to US,Mr Z has gone to
Australia.The worst form of flattery is imitation.Always think whats
good to yourself. Imitators do not succeed. Dont jam yourself with
gossip and rumor.The best way to know more is get Information. The
best way to not getting influenced by gossip and rumor is to get
Information.
12.The World has changed a lot . it s presently Information Age and no
longer Industrial Age. If you keep on slogging hard and do not have
access to information,a smarter guy inferior to you who has
information might overtake. Always spend your time gathering
information. INFORMATION IS POWER.
13.Always be Independent of yourself.Are you one who depends on your
mom to cook food? Dad for pocket money? And have a whole bunch of
helpers for everything. Start living independently, plan your
finances. Financial Independence is must for both guys and girls.
14.Keep yourself in company of successful people. The more positive
you think the more positive energy you tend to manifest and your
chances of success are better.
