Interesting Conversation

This afternoon me and Andrew Judd shared an interested little chat on
Yahoo Instant Messenger. I think he was slightly frustrated at the end
because he was using a lot of cursing against me! Anyway, I shall post
it here for the interest of the reader.

--------------------------

Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:13:09 PM): hello
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:13:16 PM): it's me, zetsu
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:13:20 PM): Sup
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:13:41 PM): i am busy at the
moment......we can arrange a time though
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:13:45 PM): sure no prob
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:14:01 PM): are you mad at Mike Tyner and
niel
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:14:04 PM): lol
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:14:10 PM): they mock you
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:14:11 PM): they dont exist for now...
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:14:14 PM): hehe
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:14:35 PM): andrew, i disagree with your
theories, but i do respect how you are so determined
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:14:40 PM): in your work
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:14:48 PM): Well, so am I. We all have to
be, huh
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:15:05 PM): I watched ur videos
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:15:11 PM): if we want normal sight we
need to compare what we imagine with what is real
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:15:16 PM): quite cool - even if THEY'rE
COMPLETELY WRONG imo
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:15:34 PM): being determined can cause
myopia
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:15:49 PM): sometimes, I just don't get
what you're talking about.. i mean you talk in such a mystical way
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:15:53 PM): couldn't you just talk normaly
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:16:03 PM): we need to arrange another
time....sorry. i have to go
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:16:03 PM): otherwise i struggle to
understand u
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:16:08 PM): OKK
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:16:10 PM): laterz
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:16:18 PM): i am happy to talk to you
via phone
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:16:23 PM): Lol
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:16:31 PM): i am not a mystical person
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:16:38 PM): you give that impression
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:16:44 PM): just straight forwards and
ordinary
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:17:27 PM): OK sorry to distrub u but I
just got one more question: are you gona' come back on sci.med.vision?
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:17:36 PM): it gets boring when there's no
one to argue with
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:17:44 PM): id love to argue with you
there
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:19:30 PM): talk to me later.....i had
to go for now
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:19:38 PM): see ya!
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:19:52 PM): TAKE CARE - - and stay off the
beer eh?
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:19:53 PM): lol
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:20:45 PM): i am by the way not all
interested in arguing.......if people want the words of bates
clarified thqat is one thing but i am not goign to argue about
it.........why should i? people can have their wrong headed
beliefs.......i cannot change what they insist on believing
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:20:57 PM): good point
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:21:13 PM): "When they learn, by actual
demonstration of the facts, just how their visual defects are
produced, they unconsciously avoid the unconscious strain which causes
them" "It is obtained only during moments of relaxation, and retained
only as long as the causes of strain are avoided; but how this is
accomplished cannot be fully explained, just as many other
psychological phenomena cannot be explained." "It has also been
demonstrated that for every error of refraction there is a different
kind of strain."
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:21:55 PM):
http :// www .central-fixation,com /bem/bettereyesight 1920 08.htm#contagious
"For an error of refraction is simply a nervous condition, and there
is nothing more contagious than nervousness. A person with myopia,
hypermetropia, or astigmatism, is a person under a strain. This strain
shows in his voice, his walk, his manner, and makes the people with
whom he comes in contact nervous. These people then develop errors of
refraction, temporarily if the influence is temporary, and permanently
if the influence is permanent, as in the case of children who cannot
escape from their nervous teachers and parents. Endless illustrations
of this fact could be given. A few must suffice." And elsewhere: "the
strain which causes the one condition is different from that which
produces the other.
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:22:13 PM): yeah
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:23:55 PM): so why you think i am wrong
is beyond me
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:24:32 PM): all i know for a fact is you
believe i am wrong. But i am entirelly clueless as to what is wrong
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:25:47 PM): You may be right or you may be
wrong, I am not concerned. But I feel that the way you present the
Bates method is distorting and untrue to the real spirit of Bates -
which is to retain absolute simplicity. There is nothing complicated
about the cure of imperfect sight. To complicate things is an error.
To simplify is an aid in securing rest. Therefore simplicity = cure.
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:26:30 PM): The way you talk about bates
makes it sound so complicated - personality blah blah - but really
it's a very simple matter of securing relaxation 24/7 by the
procedures which bates has already written about
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:26:38 PM): there's no need to invent new
theories - theories are always wrong of course
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:26:53 PM): i have no fucking
theories!!!!!
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:26:53 PM): Bates has done the work for us
- now it's just a matter of following what he recommends and get on
with it
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:26:59 PM): It seems you do have theories
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:27:01 PM): go to hell
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:27:09 PM): Chill
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:27:26 PM): Theories are just theories
until you prove them as fact - which bates has done
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:27:26 PM): just go fuck off and live
your life and leave me the fuck alone
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:27:40 PM): thats the relaxing choice
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:27:42 PM): Calm down, man. I am not
attacking you personally - just your life
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:27:44 PM): dont try to change me!!!
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:27:47 PM): change yoruself
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:27:48 PM): just your ideas* i meant
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:28:13 PM): you dont get it do you?? you
are the fucking enemy!!
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:28:18 PM): Why?
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:28:35 PM): you are clueless as to what
BAtes meant by relaxation
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:28:44 PM): How so?
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:29:55 PM): what did Bates mean by
relaxation. Give me a definition please
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:30:19 PM): when the mind is free from
strain and effort and the stare- that is relaxation - not some
personality changing crap
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:32:39 PM): how do you imagine that if a
person has an abnormal condition of their own minds so that it affects
they walk and talk and act and affects all those it comes in contact
with that they can resolve that without it visibly changing the way
they interact with other people????????????????
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:33:24 PM): the personality changes and
the way one interacts and behaves - these are merely a side affect of
the cure of imerpfect sight]
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:33:26 PM): ok i am now free to talk to
you
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:33:43 PM): the methods of rest will have
this affect AS WELL AS improving the vision
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:33:51 PM): they happen simulataneously
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:34:02 PM): there is no need to manually
go about changing one's personality
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:34:04 PM): if you imagine you can go on
being the same person you were that affects all people you come into
contact with by swinging or palming then you are delusional
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:34:05 PM): that's the HARD way]
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:34:08 PM): take the EASY way
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:34:33 PM): I do believe so. I don't think
I am delusional because many of the bates practioners, including me
and Jason Sperry , have had this exact experience
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:34:40 PM): people who dont get quick
cures are holding onto their wrong way of being
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:34:43 PM): our personalaity changes along
with our eyesight
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:35:03 PM): i am not talking to people
who have been successful
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:35:08 PM): people who don't get quick
cures are simply still straining and have not learnt how to maintain
rest in the mind 24/7 - simple as that
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:35:17 PM): nothing to do with personality
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:35:18 PM): i am talking to people who
have not been successfull
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:35:27 PM): I see
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:35:57 PM): people who dispite endless
certainty and endlessly believing they understand Bates still do not
have normal eyesight
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:36:13 PM): OK
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:36:45 PM): These people want to keep
their old way of being. they resist relaxation
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:37:06 PM): personally, I don't think
anyone 'understands' BATES fully. it's not necessary to understand
HIM! it's only necessary to understand the METHODS and keep practicing
diligently until you reach the permanent cure. that's all
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:37:10 PM): But the way of being that is
wrong is visible to the outside world
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:38:00 PM): ok
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:38:45 PM): hey andrew I don't want to
intrude on your personal life but I am just wondering - what's your
profession
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:38:48 PM): are you an Enginner?
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:39:17 PM): coz the way you talk about
Bridges and nuts and bolts and things makes you sound like one, Lol
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:39:25 PM): that is where you are wrong
i believe. a logically minded myopic person thinks that only methods
or details need to be done..............a holistic person realises
what they are wantingt to achieve........ a mind at rest behaving in a
normal manner as oppposed to a wrong way as for example all these
cunts who say they are teachers and who are too cowardly to reveal
their eyes are as fucked as the next person who is wanting to
learn........who they expect to be paid to learn what thye cannot
understand themselves...........that is WRONG thinking. That is LYING.
Bates made a direct connectiong between LYING AND MYOPIA
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:39:44 PM): ok
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:39:57 PM): i am attempting to talk to
people who are often very left brained.............
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:40:10 PM): So... we have identified
exactly where we disagree right there.
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:40:21 PM): i cant fucking win with
you.......i am too sspiritucal and now i am too much an engineer
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:40:36 PM): You basically think there
needs to be holistic stuff involvedand personality and I think that
there has to be just the practical stuff done
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:40:46 PM): so, that's where we disagree
with each other
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:40:48 PM): isnt it
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:40:58 PM): you see the details of the
bridge but you dont see the design
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:41:15 PM): you think you can build a
bridge from its parts
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:41:35 PM): even if the purpose of the
bridge is irrelevant to you
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:41:40 PM): ok
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:41:48 PM): yeah, i read your post about
that
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:42:31 PM): hey what's your job . i am
just curious ?
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:42:36 PM): what do you work as
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:42:49 PM): you seem to have no ability
to see the work of Bates in its bigger picture
context...........almost certainly you dont have normal vision and
almost certainly you are on eof these people who believes he can carry
on abusing the fuck out of people and still get good vision
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:43:15 PM): as of this moment i am a
currency trader and retired or something
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:43:22 PM): oh ok cool
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:44:07 PM): but tha tis not
me..............i am something different..........just have not got
that part worked out
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:44:37 PM): k
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:44:39 PM): i dont understand why people
so strongly resist the overarching vision of Bates and why they get
bogged down in the ffucking details
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:44:53 PM): i dont understand what you
mean
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:45:01 PM): could you reword it
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:45:17 PM): what does ovearching mean
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:45:50 PM): if a person holds onto an
abnormal way of relating to people and things and all that they
experience no amount of palming is going to fix that.............they
have to want to be come normal as oppposed to insisting on being
abnormal
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:46:03 PM): oo
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:46:28 PM): the first thing BAtes did
was to settle the minds of his clients
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:46:53 PM): yeah he made them demonstrate
that things like staring and effort etc. was harmful
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:46:54 PM): so they were calm......he
then got them to relax more deeply.........and he asked them to
experience their vision
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:47:23 PM): and if necessary he spent
months arguing with them to show them what he was meaning
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:47:46 PM): meanwhile ultimately finally
he was broken by the fucking resistance
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:47:47 PM): lol yeah
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:48:06 PM): some people had to wait MONTHS
before they realize that staring was harmful hahaha
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:48:27 PM): when you can demonstrate
normal sight then you will be credible
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:48:27 PM): the quicker you can realize it
= the faster you get cured
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:49:37 PM): meanwhile we have the
reality of Bates that a person who has a specific kind of abnormal
condition of their mind will have a specific kind of vision rpoblem.
and each specific vision problem that is an abnormal condition of the
mind can be *taught*
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:50:12 PM): anybody can learn to be
myopic.....and anybody can learn how to not be myopic
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:50:28 PM): but nobody can get normal
vision if they dont want to learn about their own wrong thinking
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:50:40 PM): wrong thinking is the heart
of the problem.....specific wrong thinking
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:50:55 PM): yes, but he also taught that
one should not waste time by dwindling over the various manifestations
of strain - he said "just take off your glasses, get on with the cure
by rest methods and don't argue" he never said nothing about
personality needing to be changed to bring about cure
andrewedwardjudd (4/10/2008 12:51:17 PM): strain is a useless thing to
even consider.........,it is wrong thinking that is the problem
Hatake Kakashi (4/10/2008 12:51:36 PM): I agree

Hatake Kakashi: mind if i post our converstion on sMV
Hatake Kakashi: I just think it will be itneresting to the readers
Hatake Kakashi: about our opinions and stuff
Hatake Kakashi: if it doesnt intrude on your privacy
andrewedwardjudd: why do you think private stuff is suitable to a
public forum????
Hatake Kakashi: Why do you insult me, Andre
Hatake Kakashi: doesn't that go against your theories
Hatake Kakashi: I thought you taught people to be kind etc.
Hatake Kakashi: affectionate
Hatake Kakashi: yet you are anything but kind or affectionate
andrewedwardjudd: i dont know where you got the idea
Hatake Kakashi: It does seem that way.
andrewedwardjudd: if i am teaching people anything it is to allow
reality to be revealed to them
Hatake Kakashi: OK..
andrewedwardjudd: this idea of rest.......is ok but it needs more meat
on it
Hatake Kakashi: Well, I've posted it on sci.med.vision so everyone can
see. Now you can 'allow reality to be revealed' to you eh?
Hatake Kakashi: BYE

So to summarize:

---
Hatake Kakashi: mind if i post our converstion on sMV
andrewedwardjudd: why do you think private stuff is suitable to a
public forum????
Hatake Kakashi: Well, I've posted it on sci.med.vision so everyone can
see.
---

So you posted a private conversation to a public forum without
explicit permission, huh? And STILL you behave as if you have an OUNCE
of credibility.

I agree with Neil - there's something frighteningly close to a
pathology at play here.

I'm not a doctor, but I do know Usenet etiquette. And you have just
blown it BIG TIME, proving yourself to be completely untrustworthy.

If Bates could speak in here I'm almost positive that he would NOT
want you as an advocate.

It's really weird, how someone can't see that they're completely
alienating the populace they're ostensibly trying to convince.

Only thing I can figure is that people like that really aren't here to
convince - they're here to raise sh*t in the group and stir things up.
I really try to hold my tongue and lurk with mild bemusement - but
this particular move really sucks. Were I the other person in the
conversation, I would never EVER correspond with you again, about ANY
topic. And If you indeed posted his real name, that in itself would be
a deal breaker.

Congratulations. Based on the available information, you are a prick.

Re: Interesting Conversation

I have posted this conversation because I believe it may be
interesting to the readers, not as an attack on Andrew. I think we
went through some very good points in the conversation so it helps to
put things into picture.

I am not here to convice nor to raise 'sh*t' . Nor to stir things up.
Nor am I here to interpret Bates' work.

My objective is to raise awareness to the cure of imperfect sight
which has been developed, but sadly, ignored completely and utterly by
the mainstream and orthodox professionals.

I don't care if I insult a few people, or trash my own credibility.
All I care about is for people to start noticing the Great Work done
by Dr. Bates ain the 1920s, and become a little bit curious, and maybe
ask some questions and investigate into his work. Then the real fun
begins.

Sort of like a 15 year old kid?

I'm not sure it has that equipment.

Based on how much shit comes out of it's mouth, I'm *sure* it has that
equipment!

Oh, I didn't know... Okay, well - obviously the rules of adult
discourse can't apply in that case. Futile is futile.

Re: Interesting Conversation

Dear Zetsu,

Andrew Judd uses a lot of cursing, against anyone who
disagrees with his particular "version" of Bates.

There seems to be a lot of Bates versions out their, and
no one agrees on any "version". Perhaps that is
more of a problem than you might think.

Bates said a LOT OF THINGS. Some I can agree with -- and
some I must question.

But you are well advised to stop taking to anyone
who must resort to "cursing" to make his "point".

Because by doing that -- he has most certainly
lost his point.

If you get my drift.

Enjoy,

I am amazed at how patient Andrew can be before finally losing his

This conversation is NOT interesting!
The Bates fairy tales you continue to post are boring.
Your posts are viewed by most readers on s.m.v as spam.
What's driving you? What are you trying to achieve?
Poor Jason is high again on speed, but his vision is not yet, and will
not be, perfect. But the blind faith these two juveniles have in an
outdated, unproven and flat wrong theory, combined with naive
arrogance, is amazing.
Why don't you join Jehovah Witnesses?

Maybe that your opinion is common. But for me The Bates publications
selected by Zetsu are the only source of real knowledge about eyes. But they
must be read with understanding. Now we know a little more about the nerve
system so Dr Bates language my be incorrectly understand.

I have not (yet) posted any of the fairy tales.
But don't worry, they'll come soon!

Are you mocking the Jehovah Witnesses?
Isn't that like, "religionist" or something

I think it's very interesting indeed. If you think it's not, then why
are you posting a reply to this thread?

I love reading Bates fairy tales.

I have not and never will use harmful drugs like speed. And my vision
is perfect sometimes, just not all the time, yet. Then again, how
would you know, anyway? Even if I told you, you'd just think I'm
lying.

How can one have blind faith in something which they proved to
themselves to derive excellent benefit from?

And as for "outdated," "unproven" and "flat wrong theory,"
congratulations on defining "conventional optometry"!!!!! =D

Why don't you go preach it, along with all your other blind SMV
friends?

Dear Question-asking friends,

OBJECTION to the minus lens -- is the second-opinion.

Asking questions is the first step in new knowledge.

People who don't like questions and new concepts -- don't
learn anything new.

A lot of difficulties depend on how, exactly you define
your words describing the dynamic behavior of the
natural eye.

Enjoy,

Re: Wrong! This Conversation Is NOT Interesting!

Subject: I agree.

I must "agree" with Otis -- on this sensitive topic.
It is this SUBJECT, which is the "second opinion".

Certainly, one must keep an open "mind" to these issues.

Just one man's opinion.
