More than likely the newer lens-type, Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism
that you are wearing in your right eye, has not been properly fit on
your eye. Did you try a pair of trial lenses from your eye doctor?
Are those the ones that you are talking about? If so, then your eye
doctor can probably make a small adjustment in the final contact
prescription and make your vision clear on both sides. Toric lens
commonly sit on the eye with a slight rotation, either clockwise or
counterclockwise, and then the final prescription needs to be adjusted
to compensate. Your eye doc needs to see you for a check-up
appointment to see how the lens is actually sitting on your cornea.
BTW, the older Acuvue Toric lenses performed dismally from an eye
doctor's perspective. The newer Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism line
of contacts are much improved.
Other brands of torics that are comparable to the older Acuvue Torics
that you like are, Biomedics Torics, Vertex Torics, Soflens 66
Torics.
