Asking for a definition

Hi everyone.

Just requesting a bit of help.

I have been trying to find the definition of "line of sight" in
textbooks and over the web, to no avail.

Can anyone provide the technical definition of this concept?

Thanks in advance.

Gwen

Well, definitions depend somewhat on context. I would use --
Line-of-sight: a straight line that can be seen along; the path
taken by free photons of visible light frequencies between
some object and a detector, sufficient free from absorbtion,
reflection and refraction to discern [focus] a visual image.

In radio terms, line-of-sight is usually not so restrictive,
and fog would not prevent it.
