Lack Of Testosterone

"Hypogonadism is not infrequent"

Effect of raising endogenous testosterone levels in impotent men with
secondary hypogonadism: double blind placebo-controlled trial with
clomiphene citrate
AT Guay, S Bansal and GJ Heatley
Section of Endocrinology, Lahey Clinic, Burlington, Massachusetts
01805, USA.

Secondary hypogonadism is not an infrequent abnormality in older
patients presenting with the primary complaint of erectile
dysfunction. Because of the role of testosterone in mediating sexual
desire and erectile function in men, these patients are usually
treated with exogenous testosterone, which, while elevating the
circulating androgens, suppresses gonadotropins from the hypothalamic-
pituitary axis. The response of this form of therapy, although
extolled in the lay literature, has usually not been effective in
restoring or even improving sexual function. This failure of response
could be the result of suppression of gonadotropins or the lack of a
cause and effect relationship between sexual function and circulating
androgens in this group of patients. Further, because exogenous
testosterone can potentially increase the risk of prostate disease, it
is important to be sure of the benefit sought, i.e. an increase in
sexual function. In an attempt to answer this question, we measured
the hormone levels and studied the sexual function in 17 patients with
erectile dysfunction who were found to have secondary hypogonadism.
This double blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over study consisted of
treatment with clomiphene citrate and a placebo for 2 months each.
Similar to our previous observations, LH, FSH, and total and free
testosterone levels showed a significant elevation in response to
clomiphene citrate over the response to placebo. However, sexual
function, as monitored by questionnaires and nocturnal penile
tumescence and rigidity testing, did not improve except for some
limited parameters in younger and healthier men. The results confirmed
that there can be a functional secondary hypogonadism in men on an out-
patient basis, but correlation of the hormonal status does not
universally reverse the associated erectile dysfunction to normal,
thus requiring closer scrutiny of claims of cause and effect
relationships between hypogonadism and erectile dysfunction.

ENDOCRINE IMBALANCE: THYROID, ADRENALS, DIABETES
Iron has a marked affinity for the different glands. One of the first
glands that is affected is the pituitary, and it is common to find
evidence of low pituitary hormones. Testosterone production in the
testicles is reduced and this can cause impotence. Iron can also
affect the thyroid, and the adrenal glands and will eventually affect
all tissues if untreated, but endocrine tissues are the most
effected.
And the most common endocrine manifestation is diabetes.

DDT in animal studies takes out the gonads I hear ... weakens uterine walls
of animals as well ... or what passes for that. Paraquat, Agent Orange,
other green killers on land, kill the green in the sea after it washes down
stream ... once you kill the oceans ... then people die. Not to worry, take
a pill. sumbuddie wear blind sea :/

Actually the post is about how testosterone doesn't seem to work ..
for some reason .. even THOUGH there seems to BE a connection of low
testosterone TO .. flaccidity.

Does DDT show a low testosterone NOT amendable to testosterone
repletion .. ?
How about Paraquat, Agent Orange.. ?

Iron causes low testosterone which IS .. amendable by iron depletion .

DDT shrinks them up and cuts down that sperm count like you would not
beleive ... give it a go ... see what happens.

Of course all we really have is a few ad hoc animal studies ... US Govt has
their reasons in keeping such things quiet and not connect it up to our
children ... there is a war on you know. Better get a helmet. Jonestown
nutters under attack. Tornado deaths up 400%.

Same thing ... drink up some Agent Orange or any green killer and see what
happens to the gonads ... only a few Disabled Veteran stories, higher animal
studies to go off from - no real science here. Sorry for the podium time.

Getting .. real .. for a second ..

Before technology .. before paraquat or agent orange .. the FACT ..
remains .. the ONLY treatment that worked for this .. hypogonadism ..
was bloodletting.

THAT is a coincidence to anyone with .. credentials .. though ..
